What a wonderfully enlightening, practical and fun workshop. I loved the singing workshop with Andrea Szabo. Andrea was warm, welcoming and reassuring throughout the workshop.She made us all feel welcome and somehow managed to boost our confidence throughout the workshop.I learnt a lot and came away feeling more confident in my ability to use my voice although I still have a lot to learn.It was such a joy to spend the day singing in a non-judgemental atmosphere where everyone is there to support and lift up each other. “ I’ve always liked singing, just never thought that I could sing. I can’t read or write music and was not quite ready to join the local church to fulfil my musical inclinations. I then found the Sing Sisters “singing group”. You see it’s not a choir but a singing group & OMG what a hoot! They don’t care if I can sing or not. They do care if I turn up or not, you see I’m now a part of a really wonderful gaggle of ladies who have made me feel welcome right from the first bad note I bellowed. Andrea the singing teacher is pretty cool too, she tells us all how good we are week after week even though sometimes I don’t think we are. It’s not just about the singing, we laugh, have a chat or joke and last year we performed Chrissy carols all over the Gold Coast bringing cheer to anyone who walked past. thanks to Andrea and her “Sing Sisters” my life is far richer, healthier and happier.
